Threatened Absent for Long Time, Zanetti Reject Pension

Javier Zanetti dismissed retirement option. No matter, captain of Inter Milan is being plagued by an Achilles tendon injury that threatened his career.

Full-back 39-year-old was pulled out in the 17th minute the match against Palermo on Sunday (28/4). The medical team have confirmed he suffered an Achilles tendon injury. However, there is still a further scan to make sure how severe the injury Zanetti.

Suspected, Zanetti should be absent eight months. Given the age of 40 years will be reached in August, Zanetti was allegedly staring at the end of his career.

"At a point, I feel the pull and feeling very sick. Still felt to this day," said Zanetti to Mediaset Premium

"But, I would certainly solve this problem," added Zanetti.
